How does it work?
You, a Providence Farm Investor, save 5% on Providence Farm's certified organic vegetables by paying a sum of $300 or more at the front end of the growing season. That way, you enjoy the flexibility of buying whatever you want, whenever you want - a la carte from either our farm market at home or at our any of our six farm markets per week from June - October.
Who is it best for?
It's best for people who want to support our farm, but who also a. Feel that a traditional share is too much food for them and/or b. Love to shop a la carte at one of our 6 weekly farm markets or at our farm: Days and Times for purchases: Providence Farm - Tuesday & Fridays, 4:30-6:00, Boyne City or Traverse City Farm Market - Wednesday & Saturdays, 8:00-12:00, Charlevoix - Thursday, 9:00-1:00, Elk Rapids, 8:00-12:00
Ok, give me an example:
Ok, let's say you'd like to invest $300.00 in Providence Farm this Spring. You send us a check for $300.00, and you receive credit for $315.00 towards any of our produce in 2020. We will both keep track through receipts and an online account after we receive your payment.
Can I use this investment to pay for other stuff?
Investors may use their balance to purchase additional items such as ground beef, blueberry boxes, strawberry flats, books and t-shirts. If you are using your investor share credit to purchase 1/4 beef, 1 side of pork or a lamb, you will be charged an additional 5%, as these items are not included in the 5% off savings for the investment in our vegetables. Thank you for investing in our farm and helping us continue what we do best, grow fabulous food!
What if I don't spend my entire balance this growing season?
We really encourage you to use it up this year. Near the end of the year, you will have the opportunity to use the remaining credit amounts on items in the Farm Store, winter storage veggies, gift certificates for gifts.
