We are glad to have had rain recently.  There are many things we can irrigate once our system is set up for the year, which it is not.  And there are many things outside of our irrigation range which really needed the rain.

The kids helped Ryan water the strawberry plants by walking up and down rows and rows (about an acre) and pointing the water at each baby plant...due to mature next season.

Tonight, we are hosting a tractor and chainsaw safety class.  ISLAND asked Ryan to teach the tractor safety portion of it.  I am glad that he's reviewing and both of our older boys are there to learn too.  (I don't drive the tractor, yet.  I'm just not attracted to it.  I lack grace just walking around in my house, so driving a huge tractor seems intimidating. Every summer, I have to re-learn the riding lawn mower, so I guess I'm also not too mechanically inclined either!)
