Spring a Leek Photo Album 2006
A great time was had by all on May 6 when we planted potatoes, gathered wild leeks and made potato/leek soup. We had a larger group come out to the farm this year than last, and potato planting was finished in record time! Here are some photos of the event. Click on a picture to enlarge.
The spuds should be in the harvest as small new potatoes in early July. We planted several varieties of red potatoes (caribe, sangre, cranberry red) a yellow fleshed adora potato and a favorite white called onaway.email us if you have comments.
