As I write this, snowflakes are gently falling on a bright grey day. The colder weather has calmed us down a bit since the 45-50 degree days of last week. Ryan was literally dreaming about sweet peas... and really is planting hundreds of onions which are now sitting in a sunny spot in our (not moved into yet) new home. I'm getting kind of nervous as I see the gleam in his eye... "You know, the living room and kitchen are perfect for starting seedlings!" Our new basement is the perfect temperature for housing hundreds of pounds of squash as well as onions, shallots and garlic. I think we should move in soon or the kids' sunny bedrooms will also be over-run with more seedlings and they'll be sleeping in their closets! We are finishing up paper work for our organic certifying agency, OEFFA. And we have packages of seeds here and on the way. We have another hoop house arriving this year and plans for a real green house to take place of the people house, thank goodness! We have had many, many repeat vegetable shareholders and for this, we are truly grateful. Many of our members have turned into friends and take a real sense of ownership in "their" farm and gardens. On many occasions, shareholders stop by with friends and family to simply show them around, enjoying the sights and sounds of a happy, healthy piece of earth.
