Purple Cherokee (ave score 3.8, range 4-5, mode 4). We were not too fond of the way this one behaved in the gardens, but it is one of our favorites for flavor. Surprisingly, all of the rest of the tomatoes clustered around a score of 3 to 3.2. Glacier (3.2) is the little one that comes in early, and is usually near the top of the rankings. Peron Sprayless (3.1) is our favorite overall for good flavor, looks and performance and took top honors last year. The pretty orange Jubilee, tops in flavor a couple years ago, Blue beech (a better-than-average roma type) and Green Zebra (that odd looking green striped one) tied at 3.0.
