TABLE TALK

SLUGS!  Well, I'd be lying if I thought I could fry them up and call them a delicacy.  You may have seen them in the lettuce, in quantities greater than normal this week.  I think it has to do with the warmer temps.  To get them out of your salad and shipped back ro France via ES-CARGO, soak the lettuce in a bowl of water with a stainer weighted down on top of the bowl.  The slugs will swim to the top in an attempt to escape.  Remove slugs by shaking the strainer in a location of your choosing.  Then repeat the process. That should do it.
