Congratulations! This email is to formally notify you that Meadowlark Farm has won a 2010 Local Hero Award in
the category of "Farm/Farmer" as voted by readers of Edible Grande Traverse magazine. Barb and I figured it
was best to share the good news of this honor before you read it in the Notable Edibles column on page 8 of ou
Winter issue. While we wish that this honor included lavish cash prizes to our Local Hero friends, it does not.
The most gratifying part of granting this recognition to you is the clear acknowledgement that what you do
makes a difference to many people and that they appreciate your work.
Growing, cooking and eating food are basic human activities, so I guess that means that creating great local
food is as important as anything! Thanks for making good eating choices easier for the rest of us.
