Veggies!

Providence Farm & CSA grows over 70 different varieties of vegetables as well as quite a few different kinds of melons.  Both size shares usually have between 8 and 16 items depending on the time of year.  Large shares have one third more produce than medium shares, which is reflected in the price.  Read the following lists (4 weeks out of 18) to get an idea of what you'll find in a typical share:

Pork

UN-conventionally raised pigs.  Our pigs have plenty of access to the great outdoors as they forage in pasture and used garden beds.  In addition to non-GMO grain, they get to munch on plenty of nutritious vegetable scraps!

We have been complimented numerous times on the quality and taste of our pork.  "This tastes the way I remember ham tasting when I was a kid!  You can't find this in the store." Ebels Family Center custom processes our shareholders' meat with out adding msg or other additives and preservatives, in the "old-fashioned" way.

CSA members pay $100 deposit towards purchasing, caring for and feeding their share of pork, (a side is appoximately 100 pounds), then pay the remainder when their side is processed in the fall.  We charge $2.99 hanging weight, and each side is approximately 100 pounds.  Shareholders then create their custom order with Ebel's and pay a processing fee to reflect their choices.

Pork is usually processed sometime in the Fall depending on various factors, including how large our piglets are when we get them from our Amish farmer in June!

We also sell our delicious pork by the piece at our farm.
